This is the initial publication of the Clarkson Valley Chronicle.  Let me explain.  What is it and why?  The Chronicle is designed to be a monthly City of Clarkson Valley "newsletter" with three basic objectives.  First, to be a communications tool between the city and our citizens, as well as a valuable communications tool for each subdivision.  Information about city ordinances, city problems and possible solutions, etc. will be communicated on a regular basis.  Subdivisions will be provided space in each edition for neighborhood events, concerns, etc.  With this additional communications path available, we believe a second objective of getting to know each other better will emerge.  The ultimate objective is to enhance living in Clarkson Valley.  The magazine will include news from City Hall, i.e. new ordinances, concerns needing citizen action, etc.  Your subdivision will be allotted space for news (not required; it is on a "want to" basis).  Other information to be included: feature stories about individual residents; safety tips from our fire districts and our police; fashion tips; maybe a favorite recipe; and a Precious Pet feature, etc.

We have contracted with Neighborhood Networks Publishing for production of this magazine.  It is a six months trial with no cost to the city.  The publication is free to homeowners and will be sponsored by advertising from business owners throughout the St. Louis area.  These advertising contracts are between Neighborhood Networks and the advertiser.  The city is not involved with these contracts.

We want your input: 1) about the total concept; 2) ideas about what to include; 3) what you don't like; 4) or whatever.

Just a reminder, your Council meets the first Tuesday of each month.  I urge you to attend as often as possible - that's Tuesday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the Fru-Con Building.  You can check our website to review the agenda several days in advance.  See you in May?
