Alderperson Midyett made a motion to accept the Minutes. Alderperson Schultz seconded the motion. A voice vote was taken to accept the Minutes with an affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.
REMARKS, PETITIONS AND COMPLAINTS
There were no remarks, petitions or complaints.
St. Louis County Police Report: Officer Thom Taylor of the St. Louis County Police handed out the October Police Report. He commented about the unfortunate helicopter accident and everyone agreed it was a tragedy and the City would be willing to help with any effort to memorialize. On a different note, he mentioned the Rockwood Drug-Free Coalition was sponsoring another Drug Take Back Program this Saturday, November 6 to be held again in the Fru-Con building.
Sgt. Burk took the floor and informed the Board that he was transferred to a different precinct and would no longer be working in Clarkson Valley. He then introduced Sgt. Gary Sodoma who would be taking his place. Sgt. Sodoma spoke briefly about himself and his background with St. Louis County Police, saying he worked sixteen years in the narcotics division as a detective and several years working with and training drug-sniffing dogs. The Board Members thanked Sgt. Burk saying he would be missed and that he did a fine job for Clarkson Valley.
Court Report: The total amount collected for traffic fines and court costs for the month of October 2010 was $18,131.80.
Breakdown of Yard Waste Signups: President Jim Meyer reported that one third of the households in Clarkson Valley signed up for yard waste pickup with Meridian Waste. The Alderpersons had a breakdown of the signups by subdivision in their packets and Mr. Meyer stated the subdivision with the highest percentage was Forest Hills with 34% of the homes contracting for service.
Clarkson Valley Celebration: President Meyer stated he attended the event and acknowledged the amount of work performed by Officer Taylor. The Board members thanked him. Comments were made about the event, both good and bad - concluding with the hope that it should be better coordinated next year.
Strategic Plan For Clarkson Valley: Mr. Meyer stated he would be meeting with Mayor Douglass regarding the request from a Clarkson Valley resident that we establish and define the City's strategic plan.
There were no reports.
Mr. Butler said the lateral lawsuit continues and no briefs will be taken until the beginning of the year.

Audit: Alderperson Shea made a motion to approve the audit, seconded by Alderperson Schultz to have invoices in the amount of $77,313.01 approved for payment. A voice vote was taken with a unanimous affirmative result and the motion was declared passed.
