Noise Regulations

In the City of Clarkson Valley it is unlawful for any person to make, continue, or cause to be made or continue any excessive, unnecessary or unusually loud noise or any noise which either annoys, disturbs, injures or endangers the comfort, repose, health, peace or safety of others, within the limits of the City. This includes:

  • Loud nonstandard car muffler
  • Screeching tires
  • Loud radio, stereo, etc.
  • Animals or birds causing long continued noise
  • Outdoor games played within 100 ft. of a residential building between 12:00-8:00 a.m.
  • Construction work between 8:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m

In 2018, the City passed a comprehensive ordinance containing NOISE LEVEL STANDARDS – Sound in excess of the noise level standards of the St. Louis County, Missouri noise control code.  Please call city hall, or write, to receive a copy.
